Visualization combined with Gratitude creates the doorway to manifesting your dreams. Why?
Because these two mind tools are high octane engines, which if properly used, can propel you towards embracing positive life experiences. The more positive experiences you have, the greater chance you have of intentionally manifesting your true desires.
In the movie
“Under the Tuscan Sun” (Buena Vista, 2003) Katherine declares to Frances, “Never lose your childish enthusiasm and things will come your way.” I agree with Katherine and gratitude engineered with the use of visualization will not only remind you how fortunate you are in life, but inspire you to remain enthusiastic towards pursuing specific life goals. Remember, where there is hope, there is always a way.
Visualization and Gratitude are the Seeds of Change…
Most people are visual, and one of the best ways to keep the positive, creative juices flowing is to habitually construct internal visuals which arouse feelings of gratitude. Soon you will be reminded of just how fortunate you are in life and negative experiences will be displaced by positive encounters which are more in alignment with your personal dreams.
I don’t care what your position in life may be, this system works! However, you must remain consistent, focused and not attempt to multitask by inviting rogue thoughts into your mind. Throughout my article on
Goal Setting, I described the importance of consistency and how change is first initiated by taking small steps until a certain level of proficiency and momentum is created. Similar traits are required when attempting to shift thought patterns away from the same negative, mundane, repetitive dramas in which we participate on a daily basis.

Regardless of your position in life or any imaginable negative aspects which might be bringing you down, using positive visual stimuli is an essential tool which needs to be present and refined in order to create confidence in your ability to reliably manifest any personal desire.
Fake It Until You Make It…
You have to start somewhere and when you have nothing, Visualization combined with Gratitude will generate the spark of life with respect to creating the momentum needed to change current life conditions. Try the following exercise; it will help introduce your ability to visualize with your capacity to find gratitude in any task:
Take out a blank piece of paper and create a visual shopping list of simple, inexpensive, activities you enjoy doing. Place a check mark next to the activities you do frequently and an x next to the ones you do infrequently.
My list looked something like this:
• Go for a walk in nature or along the beach
• Go to an art gallery or a museum
• Go to a botanical garden or a local nursery
• Watch a sunset
For years, I had not participated in many of these activities and making the list helped remind me of simple joys which would allow me to more affectionately appreciate life. Actually doing the activities was even more important because the physical action opened the magical portal of gratitude. I was able to really feel gratitude flow through my body as I watched the sunset and smelled my favorite roses.
Visualization now comes into play because just like TiVo I am able to instantly replay these specific physical experiences of gratitude anytime and anyplace. All I have to do is sit back, just like in a movie theatre, and observe myself as I walk along the beach, take in the fragrance of a beautiful flower or appreciate the beauty of a fine painting.
Once you start you just can't stop...
As momentum continues to build, you will start to see and feel beauty in everything around you, no matter where you may be or no matter what you may be doing. Soon your life will change, new people will enter and you will be introduced to positive life experiences. Undoubtedly, these life experiences will be in alignment with your most intimate dreams and expectations. The advantages of being a visual person are unlimited… so embrace and enjoy the process as it unfolds!

Some Final Words…
Notice amongst your immediate friends and family members those who are in gratitude and those who are not. Which group is happier and feeling like their life is moving along the right path? I can assure you, unless you have developed cataracts, the group that is in consistent gratitude is experiencing more joy and seeing their lives come into fruition according to the goals they have set for themselves.
Namaste,
