EFT goes to the Opera is about a recent encounter that I had with an Opera singer who started having trouble holding the notes to various
arias she was attempting to sing.
Her lack of confidence made her increasingly apprehensive about practicing her scale exercises and her enthusiasm for singing began to wane. She started to wonder if she could continue her music career or if it was time to move onto something else.
I discovered during the EFT interview process that she was having trust issues from various ex
periences in her personal life. These trust issues centered on the way numerous male figures treated her during early childhood through adult life. Over time, she began to believe that if she shared her gift and her art with the world she would be “abandoned” by her audience just like the other men in her life.
So with out much further adieu we began using EFT tapping protocols for the following statements:
“Even though my father never really took the time to know me, I deeply and completely love and except myself.” This particular statement helped release negative emotional patterns that started with the most important male figure in her childhood - her father.

From there I began to help her release negative emotions clustered around her fiancé, who dumped her with no reason or explanation simply because he fell out of love with her. The continuing pattern of feeling that her inner beauty and qualities could not be recognized by another “important” male figure in her life continued to support the belief that she would also be abandoned by her public.
I could see her skin change color, as these negative emotional memories left her body, and her face went from being pale to having more color. I notice with many of my EFT clients that when great breakthroughs happen, there is usually a flush of color in the facial region.
Her passage from releasing negative emotional responses with respect to her career to completely “trusting” in her own abilities and gifts permitted her to resume her normal rehearsal schedule. She said she felt, "An unbelievable release of emotion." Now when she is singing, her breathing techniques are conducive to hitting and holding all the necessary notes and phrases that and opera singer must possess.
Her confidence continues to return in leaps and bounds and now she believes she will once again be able to sing in front of large audiences.
I am grateful for the beautiful transformational processes that happen when I use EFT on myself and others. I hope that if you are not familiar with this wonderful healing modality that you will visit:
